About Sensational Seniors
Sensational Seniors was founded by Andriana Mendez, CSA®, co-owner of Custom Moving Solutions, after a personal caregiving journey with her mother inspired a mission to help older adults and families thrive.
After witnessing the isolation many seniors faced following the pandemic, Andriana launched Sensational Seniors to rebuild community, share knowledge, and connect people with trusted East Bay senior resources that promote joyful, confident aging.
Empowering Seniors Through Education & Connection
Our free senior workshops bring together older adults, caregivers, and families to learn from trusted local professionals in areas such as health, housing, finance, and aging in place. Each session encourages proactive planning, builds community, and supports seniors in living independently, safely, and with purpose. Whether you’re a retiree, family caregiver, adult child, or part of the “sandwich generation,” our events provide practical tools and heartfelt encouragement for every stage of life.
What It Means to Be a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®
As a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, Andriana has completed specialized training in the health, social, financial, and legal aspects of aging. The CSA credential represents a holistic and ethical approach to supporting older adults grounded in compassion, professionalism, and continuing education. This means that when you attend a Sensational Seniors event, you’re learning from someone who is not only experienced but also specially trained to understand and support seniors and their families with care and integrity.
Strengthening the Village That Supports Seniors
Drawing from her background in marketing, design, and event management, Andriana has created a growing calendar of quality programs throughout the San Francisco East Bay, including Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and the Tri-Valley area.
In addition to educational workshops, Sensational Seniors now hosts professional networking events under the Senior Forum banner—connecting senior-service professionals such as fiduciaries, realtors, financial planners, senior living advisors, and healthcare providers who collectively serve the aging community.
A Family Business with Heart
When she’s not hosting workshops, Andriana and her husband Art lead Custom Moving Solutions, a fully licensed and insured senior move management company. Together, they help families rightsize, pack, move, and settle into new homes with care and respect.
As Certified Senior Move Managers®, their mission is to make transitions easier—combining compassion with hands-on expertise to help hundreds of Bay Area seniors start their next chapter with peace of mind.
Life Beyond the Business
At home, Andriana and Art enjoy life with their blended family of six and their two spirited red dogs. They love kayaking Northern California lakes, discovering new restaurants, cheering at local sports games, and exploring new destinations together.
At its core, Sensational Seniors is about community, compassion, and connection—empowering older adults to live well, stay engaged, and know they are never alone.
